The Oscar-winning actress scored 16 per cent of the vote, pipping equally shapely Kelly Brook to second place with 15 per cent.
And skeletal stars Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss finished bottom of the poll of 2,000 women alongside Katie Price, also known as Jordan, who all got just 1% each.
Former Casualty actress Rebecca Wheatley, who won Slimming World woman of the year after shedding more than 12 stone, believes there is a shift in people's perception of what is attractive especially for women.

Kate Winslet Proves Fans Prefer Natural Beauty

Kate Winslet recently took top rankings in a poll of British women on whose body they would most want, beating out twiggy contenders Kate Moss and Victoria Beckham.
Kate Winslet thinks she’s unconventional by Hollywood standards for not being a size zero or going blonde. But British women don’t seem to care, raking Winslet over body conscious stars like Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss in a recent poll.
When asked whose body they most coveted, 16 percent voted for Kate Winslet, 15 percent voted for British model Kelly Brook and 12 percent voted for Halle Berry. Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and shock-model Katie Price each got just 1 percent of the vote each.

Kate Winslet's man in talks to direct new Bond film

Sam Mendes, the husband of British Oscar winner Kate Winslet, is reportedly eyeing up the next James Bond film.
Making it the 23rd installment of the thriller series, the next film is due to be released in 2011, with production beginning this June.
Hollywood hunk Daniel Craig is set to reprise his role as the secret agent, following his successful stints in Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace.
If Sam does take on the directorial role, it will be his first action project since 2005's Jarhead.
The British star married The Reader actress Kate in 2003.

Kate Winslet named best actress at Bambi Awards

Oscar-winning star Kate Winslet has been named best international actress at this year's Bambi Awards in Germany.
The 34-year-old scooped the prize for The Reader, in which she played a German woman with a secret Nazi past.
Winslet, who shot the movie in Germany, said: "Ever since we made The Reader I'm always trying to find ways to come back - it was special."
The annual Bambi Awards acknowledge achievement in film, television, music and sports.
Earlier this year, Winslet was awarded her first Oscar for The Reader, in which Ralph Fiennes also starred.
The Bambi panel praised her as "an actress who doesn't just slip into her roles but rather puts herself into the soul of her roles".
